The Wine
La Volada 2021
In the Vineyard: La Volada is a white wine made with highly aromatic varieties that have demonstrated a natural resistance to fungi and other vineyards diseases. Albe i Noya have dedicated strong efforts to recover and select wild ancestral varieties pursuing more disease resistance grapes to enable a minimal intervention viticulture. 100% ecologic.
In the winery: Cold maceration. Pressed in a pneumatic press and slow fermentation at low temperature
In the palate: It is a white wine with intense aromas of jasmine and white flowers. On the palate, it is very refreshing, fruity with a citurs aftertaste that will remind orange and grapefruit flavours. It is perfect to drink by glass or pair with fresh salads, cheeses, seafood or “paella”.

Bodegas Albet i Noya
In 1903, during the phylloxera crisis, great great grandfather Joan Albet i Rovirosa arrived in the Penedès to work the vineyards at the Can Vendrell de la Codina estate, in Sant Pau d'Ordal. For five generations, the Albet family, tenant farmers of Can Vendrell, have farmed, loved and watched over the vines that are now the protagonists of their wines. Albet i Noya became pioneers in organically farmed wines in Spain in 1978 and have since dedicated strong efforts into researching and recovering of ancestral varieites (like the "new varieties" used for the elaboration of their outstanding wine Albet) and varieties with enhanced resistance against vine diseases (translated into their new white wine La Volada).
