The Wine
Le Petit Clos 2020
In the Vineyard: A blend of Carmenere (~50%), Merlot (~30%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Petit Verdot from the best quality and oldest vines of the internationally recognized Apalta vineyard (ranked among the best 40 vineyards in the world).
In the winery: Fermentation in old French barriques, and malolactic conversion in new. Aging for 8 months in new French oak barrique, with another 14 months in new (50%) and second use (50%) oak barriques. Neither fined nor filtered.
In the palate: Intense dark red garnet with purple violet edges. Expressive notes of well ripened fruit open towards well integrated oak. The palate opens toward a concentrated structure, with well defined tannins and good density. Long in the finish.
