Tirabeque Red 2021
In the Vineyard: Mencia grapes grown in the traditional manner in small old vineyards own by Abeledos within the Monterrei region. Grapes are grown following an ecologic and sustainable approach with respect for the environment and local traditions.
In the winery: This is a wine produced to rexpect and express the fruit characteristics of the Mencia grape in an elaboration without oak maturation.
In the palate: The full fruity expression of Mencia is displayed with aromatic intensity of red fruits. This is a wine easy to drink in any ocassion.

Fernando Boo is Monterrei, and his wines illustrate his strong connection to this outstanding land of rolling hills with old vineyards spread around in very small parcels sharing the landscape with millenary wine lagars that Romans used to extract the juice of vitis vinifera grapes. Abeledos presents a range of white and red wines based on the autochthonous Godello and Mencia grapes that represent better than no one else the spirit of this formidable and hidden gem within the world of wine production. Delicate wines with tension that do not see oak and take their structure from contact with their fine lees.
