The Wine
Entrepeñas 2021
In the Vineyard: Viura grapes from a singular vineyard called Entrepeñas that is 60 years and managed fully ecologically.
In the winery: The grapes are harvested by hand during the second week of October. The skins are cold macerated with the must for 36 hours. The wine is fermented in French oak barrels and it remains in the same barrel for 3 months. Battonage is used to increase the qualities of the wine
In the palate: Spectacular floral and fruit aromas. Intense tropical notes at the end. Delicious and elegant in the mouth, with a full mouthfeel and fresh herbs and a creamy finish. Excellent integration between all extructural parameters.
The Producer
Bodegas Mitarte
Mitarte elaborates a variety of very personal wines from very varied and personal vineyards marked by the terroir and climate of the land with most recognition of Spain and vineyards passed from generation to generation. Their old family tradition is clearly exposed into wines with character and personality that range multiple styles, sampling all the authocthonous varieties of the area, including wines made with the natural coupages of grapes found in century old vineyards in their state.
