The Wine
La Morera de Montsant 2018
In the Vineyard: Ecologic vineyards with old vines of Garnacha (50%) located in La Morera De Montsant. This Priorat blend also includes Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (10%), Cabernet Sauvignon (5%), and Cariñena (5%)
In the winery: Fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature and ageing in French oak barriques for 22 months. Bottled without filtration.
In the palate: This is a strong, high alcoholic wine (15.5% ABV) representative of Priorat, and the extreme hot climate of the region. Extremely well balanced with high intensity and concentration of black and red fruits. A full body wine with long finish that was chosen in 2021 as a flagship wine of the DOQ Priorat.

Celler Pasanau is a small family winery in the Priorat DO dedicated to the elaboration of wines with personality that show the character of the vineyards from which they come. Soils of Licorella and sandstone soils coming from the erosion of the conglomerate mother rocks of the Sierra de Montsant provide the setbed for wines of outstanding quality and personality. Pasanau aims at expressing the terroir and the grape on each of its wines. The Pasanau family has a long history of wine elaboration that started prior to the phylloxera attack that occurred more than one hundred years ago. They base our wine elaboration on organic farming and utmost attention to the vineyard. They use mules to work the terrains.
