The Wine
Unsi Terrazas Red
In the Vineyard: A wine based on Garnacha from centenary old vineyards surrounded by wild vegentation located in terraces of the Pyrenees mointains in the Montaña Baja zone of the Navarra DO.
In the winery: Fermented in stainless steel and aged on French oak foudres and barrels of different sizes for six months.
In the palate: With a very intense, authentic and varietal aroma: red fruits, floral notes of violet... Those that best define the aromatic palette of Garnacha in an area of altitude, accompanied by wilder notes of scrubland (thyme and rosemary). An aromatic power that continues on the palate with a sweet but fresh finish and a persistent memory of red fruit.

In the low mountains of Navarra, a territory marked by a pronounced orography and little space for cultivation, different Garnacha vineyards that were many years old were abandoned. Among the reasons for their abandonment was the difficulty of accessing them and the low production, something unsustainable for local farmers. In this way, Unsi was born: a wine project that aims to recover old mountain Garnacha vineyards, to produce quality wines with a unique and unrepeatable character.
