In the Vineyard: The Tempranillo (78%) comes from 30-old vines in Cuesta and Montecillo vineyards. The Garnacha (22%) comes from La Pedriza, in Rioja Oriental, a 40-hectare state with unbeatable conditions for growing this variety
In the winery: Natural alcoholic fermentation and maturation in American oak barrels of the two varieties separately, Tempranillo for 36 months and Garnacha for 30 months
In the palate: The nose stands out for its power, a highly complex blend of spicy and balsamic aromas of sweet liquorice, patisserie, vanilla, cinnamon and coconut. Outstanding balance, fresh and structured in the palate

Rioja Alta S. A. combines the wisdom of tradition and the state of the art in wine elaboration techniques. This reference winery elaborates classic Rioja wines that rank among the most recognized of the denomination. They base their production on a careful selection of their grapes and maturation in American oak barrels, which confers their wines with the most traditional character expected from Rioja wines. But they also produce wines in a more modern styles, while still racking wine from barrel to barrel at the light of a candle.
