The Wine
Altos de Cristimil Etiqueta Blanca 2021
In the Vineyard: Albariño grapes grown in parrals in the hills of the Salnés valley in Rías Baixas. Parrals help to maintain the fruit healthy by allowing air circulation and distancing the grapes from the humid ground, which is particularly important in an area with such a high rainfall level.
In the winery: The wine is elaborated in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks where the grapes are transferred immediatly after arrival to the winery and pressed to separate the juice from the skins. The fermented wine spends two months on its fine lees to acquire character and structure, while maintaining the fresh character of the Albariño variety.
In the palate: A fresh wine with a nice point of acidity and intense aromas of citrus and stone fruits, including lemon, peach, and melon, as well as vegetal notes. It is a glyceric wine (with body and structure) and intense fruit flavors and a gentle and persitent retronasal finish.

The result is truly outstanding wines that bring the nature of Rías Baixas to the consumer, who can fill the freshness of the Galician Atlantic coast with a simple sip.
