The Wine
Dry Riesling Classique 2020
In the Vineyard: Riesling grapes selected from each single plot of the state and blended into the same wine to showcase the essence of Forge Cellars vineyards. Hand harvest grapes.
In the winery: The wine is made from a barrel of wine elaborated from every of the 16 vineyard plots in the state. All elaboration steps are by hand and fermentation occurs by means of indigenous yeasts.
In the palate: The wine presents characteristics of the different plots, including citrus, white and tropical fruits, as well as herbs and minerality. An essential wine to understand Forge cellars!

Forge Cellars wines reflect the place that they come from. When you smell one of their wines, you should be transported to its origins and be able to see the landscape. It should relate to good memories, and provide a strong feeling of identity. This is why at Forge Cellars they like to listen, be soft and transparent in our winemaking. Their choices in the cellar guard the purity of the vineyards. Simply put, they make wine in the traditional, handcrafted manner. Hand grape harvesting and sorting as well as all elaboration steps in the winery are done by hand, using indigenous yeast for very slow fermentations in hundreds of separate, small French barriques from more than a dozen different vineyards, each with its own story and personality.
