The Wine
Konstantin Frank Blanc de Blanc 2019
In the Vineyard: Blanc de Blanc is 100% Chardonnay from Dr. Konstantin Frank's estate vineyards on Keuka Lake. Grapes are hand harvested in early hours to maintain their freshness.
In the winery: The grapes are lightly pressed and the wine is elaborated in the traditional/champenoise method, with secondary fermentation in bottle for a minimum of 36 months in their historic underground cellar. Riddling is made manually.
In the palate: The wine shows characters of fresh pastry dough, Bartlet pear, lemon curd, and minerality. The crisp acidity and subtle mineral undertones give the wine great structure and elegance. Leading with a fine mousse, the mouthfeel is creamy and profound. Long crisp apple finish. Perfect for celebrations and special occasions. Pair with oysters, lobster, smoked salmon, fried foods, egg dishes, sushi, popcorn, or seafood-based Chinese dishes

Four generations strong, the Frank family has been leaders of grape growing and winemaking throughout the Finger Lakes. Their estate vineyards on Keuka Lake represent the oldest Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir vines in the Eastern United States. They are known for producing highly acclaimed traditional method sparkling wines, crisp and aromatic white wines, and rich red wines. The family founder, Dr. Konstantin Frank, ignited the “Vinifera Revolution” a movement that forever changed the course of wine growing in the Finger Lakes and the United States. Dr. Frank’s vision, knowledge and determination are credited with elevating the New York wine industry from a state of happy mediocrity to a level that today commands world attention.
