The Wine

In the Vineyard: Grapes coming from vineyards in the Valladolid area of the Toro DO, where soils are covered by impressively large rolling stones that retain heat that is given back to the grape overnight.
In the Winery: Aged in oak barriques for less than a year to preserve the characteristics of the Tinta de Toro grape.
In the Palate: This is a young, fresh, fruit-driven wine with subtle toasty aromas of oak ageing. Easy to drink and elegant.
The Producer
Bodegas Elias Mora
Since 2000, the winery has been managed by the enologist Victoria Benavides. The winery takes its name from the previous owner of these prestigious vineyards, namely señor Elias Mora. Their ethos is to marry the past with the present, combining the valuable knowledge of previous generations with the best aspects of modern technology and all that it implies. To sum it up, this is a philosophy that can be well described as: The winery at the heart of the vineyard and barrels at the heart of the wine. Out of respect for the environment they only use natural products in the elaboration of their wines: oak, natural cork and glass.
