The Wine
Nobbis 2021
In the Vineyard: It is made only with grapes of the Tinto Fino variety (Tempranillo). The grapes come from high-altitude vineyards (800-900m) scattered throughout the orography of the slopes that flow into the Riaza valley in Fuentecén and Haza, predominantly south south-west facing and with very diverse soils.
In the winery: Hand-harvested grapes are brought to the winery in 14-Kg boxes where they undergo a short cold maceration and fermentation in cone-shaped SS vats. The wine ages in French and American oak barriques for 11 months.
In the palate: Cherry red color. Good intensity, elegance and finesse in the foreground. Lots of red fruit, creamy, delicate but very fragrant and a subtle presence of toast from oak.

Tres Piedras is a project focused on recovering historic vineyards and sustainable traditional viticulture, to create fine, unique, authentic and elegant wines with minimal production, which transmits the essence of each place, variety and soil. Jorge Arandilla takes this goal as a mission of life, transferring all his energy into managing centenary-old vineyards in a completely sustainable way, with minimum intervention but also highly respecting the traditions. Indeed, he has recovered a subterranean cellar that maintains in the exact manner it was done centuries ago, and disseminates the traditional viticultural and winemaking process to the public through his webpage. The effort results in outstanding wines that represent like no others the best Ribera del Duero has to offer.
