Winemaking: Centenary Vines
These are wines made with grapes grown in vineyards of 100 hundred years of more of age. There are two main characteristics associated to centenary-old vineyards. Old vines have low grape production levels, which translates into a concentration of aromas and flavors in the final wine. Centenary-old vineyards usually contain a coupage of grape varieties, including red and white, which are at times blended together for the elaboration of particularly distinct wines.
